I’m in love with the Hitchcockian campaign for Jil Sander. The models looking through the broken glass and the shadowy staircase create the element of horror, which is polar opposite of the Spring presentation, yet the silhouettes emanate the feeling and a refreshing look at their inspiration.
The September Issue of Love Magazine is all about the women they love, and this one in particular is Live Tyler. Willy Vanderperre shoots this stunning shoot of Liv, while Live also tells the magazine what women have inspired her. She’s undoubtedly sexy and sensual as a pin-up, my particular favorite being her immersed in the Gucci dress with feathers. The smoking in this editorial reminisces on old Hollywood glamor, that when captured correctly, looks so seductive and cool, it almost overshadows the harmful effects. Dammit, fashion photography and all of your tomfoolery.

These three are everywhere recently, and it’s quite obvious with my second post in a row featuring Miss Miranda. While we already knew Karolina Kurkova and Jacquelyn Jablonski have had a longer resume in high fashion, Miranda actually has not and she is doing things backwards. She is going from Victoria’s Secret to high fashion which is rarely the case. I’ve had my doubts, but I’m coming around to Miranda in high fashion editorials, campaigns and shows. My only arguments being that they tend to focus on her brows either by making them nude or highlighting them, she is doing a decent job. I thought she’d be too cute for high fashion, BUT she needs to break free of her sexy lingerie poses she has become accustomed too. With that being said, V‘s summer issue features these three in an editorial focused on full bodies, and while having a hip and a boob doesn’t change anything in the industry, it’s still pretty to look at. And of course, why would she do it in anything but Prada?

My icon, Kate Moss, does yet another editorial for Vogue UK and it’s classic Kate. I don’t care what anyone says, she’s the ultimate, very definition of supermodel, and don’t even get me started on how that term is thrown about so loosely. Willy Vanderperre photographs my favorite and the results are lovely.
