It’s been a long time since you came around…

Sasha in Atelier Versace

It has certainly been a while since I have written here. I have been fairly busy and will be getting back to the swing of things soon, catching up on fashion month and the likes. During my absence, I have failed to even notice I am hitting 170,000 views, so there is that to clap about. I am slowly snatching weaves.

Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 11.12: Sasha P

This is the first look of Sasha’s Fall/Winter campaign and it’s absolutely stunning. Many are saying it’s reminiscent of her 2009 campaign, and I will have to agree, but that does not make it any less magnificent. Work it, honey. Sasha’s looking simply heavenly wrapped up in that mauve fur. Can’t wait for more images.

Vogue Paris: Sasha Pivovarova

I love how Desperately Seeking Susan this editorial is. Sasha embodies Madonna’s downtown chic layering in Dries Van Noten, Yves Saint Laurent, Burberry Prorsum and Marc Jacobs. She’s the girl you want to chill with. Simply put, this editorial is just cool and effortless. Put this girl on the cover already. It will be long overdue and well-deserved.

Vogue Paris May 2011: Sasha Pivovarova

The sunglasses photo has been my iPhone’s wallpaper for the past week and a half. I’m in love.  The fluorescent coloring is wonderful and there’s something fresh with this small editorial. Can you spot it? There’s a lack of Photoshop and airbrushing. Her hair and “imperfections” are fairly visible, and it makes me love this simple set of photos.

Vogue Korea: Sasha P

Simple, yet fresh. The styling is perfect, particularly the loosely tailored trousers. Sasha needed another cover that wasn’t a reprint and I don’t know how such a successful model like her doesn’t get more. She certainly deserves more than she earns. I’m not going to lie, she looks super adorable with this wig. I don’t think I could ever get enough of Sasha Pivovarova.

En Vogue l’Été 2011: Sasha P

In honor of this ethereal goddess’s birthday, we will post her photos from the fabulous editorial work in Vogue Paris shot by Mario Sorrenti first. This editorial is full of vivid and surreal prints and colors. The companion to this technicolor dream of Missoni to Yohji Yamamoto are the more subdued black and whites that share a relative theme.

Miu Miu S/S 11: Sasha, Kasia, Querelle

Miu Miu’s S/S 11 show delved into stardom and the obsession fame, full of vivid graphics, stars and lightening bolts. The satin A-line skirts were completed with pleats infused with the 1930s. The Spring campaign captures Miuccia’s brilliance. The most exciting aspect is the fact Sasha returns to one of Miuccia Prada’s advertisements. We all remember her three-year exclusive contract with Prada. She epitomizes what I feel is Prada and I really love her shot in this Miu Miu campaign, but Kasia and Querelle are really holding their own.
