While I’m on this fragrance kick, has anyone smelled this latest fragrance by Marc Jacobs? I’m already in love with Daisy and absolutely need it. I’m a male and generally wear Burberry Brit, but I feel I can work Daisy as my Spring and Summer fragrance. I was at Macy’s last weekend and had to spray Daisy on myself and then we smelled Daisy Eau So Fresh and it was even more magical. This fragrance adds a fruitier twist and all the more whimsy. I need this now. I’ll shower in it daily.
Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs

Following in the season’s biggest trend, one really perpetuated by Marc, the retro-70s feel, this being more laid back and full of a soft, warming glow to the shoot. Juergen Teller is the obvious photographer for this more sophisticated form of hipster-chic. Those pleated shorts need to be on me by the warmer Spring months. The sunnies wouldn’t be too bad either. A man has needs. The true star is Andrej, who is quickly rising model, identified for his androgynous appeal. I really hope he isn’t a trend, but really has a long-lasting career. The kid has high potential.

I really don’t know how I should feel about this. I really disliked what Marc brought down the runway this Fall. I’m glad for the shift to the 1970s, but his use of fabrics and sartorial choices were not as brilliant as everyone always says they are. I saw tackiness, questionable fabrics, and overrated designs that I feel have been coming down the runway for a while now. Don’t get me wrong, I really do know he’s a very talented man and he makes some really beautiful items, but can we please question him when needed?
Caroline Brasch Nielsen is 16-years-old I believe, so why did Juergen Teller decide it was necessary to display her in this way. Despite my overall feelings, the photo actually captures the essence of the 70s, Jodie Foster in Taxi Driver, etc., but could we think twice about the underage breasts?
I started this post out with a comparison of Vivienne and fine wine, but every time I tried, it started to contradict the point of a fine wine. What I’m saying here is that Vivienne Westwood is a truly unique designer and individual. I really wish American publications ran her campaigns as much as they would in say the UK. Her ads are always full of fun and odd spirit that only she can produce. Possibly I’m in the minority here, but I really loved last year or so when Pam Anderson was the face. It was so full of joy and excitement that I could not help but to love them. Here we go with another round of campaigns and this shot is of the designer herself, as she tends to star in some of her campaigns. Juergen Teller shoots this and while it may be definitively his, it’s all Vivienne.
Sexy or trashy? This is shot by Juergen Teller (obviously) for his fragrance, Bang. Who else would shoot for Marc? Anyway, Marc needs to stop playing with me and just show me everything. On topic, Tom Ford needs to as well. Get on that sexies.
