Cute, sexy, and sweet. Mario Testino captures Britney Spears for the March issue of V Magazine. The cat cover concerns me a bit and the styling of the shoot could have been better, but Britney looks absolutely happy, pretty, and seductive; just how we like her. Doesn’t that lacey Dolce & Gabbana look absolutely sweet on her?

Gisele isn’t old by any means, but she certainly tapped into the Fountain of Youth. This is effortless, cool, and completely Hedi Slimane-chic, but the best part is that this is the Gisele from years ago. I haven’t seen a Gisele editorial this great in a long time. Her body is better than on point. Gorgeous.
On another note, can someone get me that Burberry Prorsum jacket? Salivating.

It might be hot and humid outside, but here’s something a little extra. Photographed by Xevi Muntane, my favorite Jon Kortajarena, Andres Velencoso Segura, Oriol Elcacho, Quim Gutierrez & Antonio Navas steam up the pages for Pre-Fall in all of the right ways.
“For me it’s all about seduction than just a pretty face.” Oh stop that, Jon. You’re making us blush.
The covers came in for VMagazine‘s “The Sexy Body” issue and we’re still a bit grossed out by them. Sure they’re absolutely sexy and perfect fapping material for any guy, but the scratch-off “V” to see a tit or a hoo-ha sounds a bit Penthouse than a beloved, edgy fashion magazine. Minus the cheapening of Dior, I’ll give them that angle is quite awkward and I’ll give them a break. Lily is either pained or Mario Sorrenti was yelling for her to give him the look that she’s the hottest bitch. It could be either, really. Despite all of this, I’m still curious to see the editiorials.
These three are everywhere recently, and it’s quite obvious with my second post in a row featuring Miss Miranda. While we already knew Karolina Kurkova and Jacquelyn Jablonski have had a longer resume in high fashion, Miranda actually has not and she is doing things backwards. She is going from Victoria’s Secret to high fashion which is rarely the case. I’ve had my doubts, but I’m coming around to Miranda in high fashion editorials, campaigns and shows. My only arguments being that they tend to focus on her brows either by making them nude or highlighting them, she is doing a decent job. I thought she’d be too cute for high fashion, BUT she needs to break free of her sexy lingerie poses she has become accustomed too. With that being said, V‘s summer issue features these three in an editorial focused on full bodies, and while having a hip and a boob doesn’t change anything in the industry, it’s still pretty to look at. And of course, why would she do it in anything but Prada?

There’s no denying Adriana Lima has a sexy body, if not one of the most, pre- or post-natal, but something about this cover screams cheap whore, trashy, etc. Those given adjectives are not something I would ever describe the once ‘Sexiest Virgin’, so why did Mario Sorrenti insist on shooting Adriana on the cover of V like it were Hustler? To add a little more cheapness to the equation, there are 1000 covers of each girl (Natasha Poly, Eniko Mihalik, Lily Donaldson, and Isabeli Fontana) with scratch-off V logos to reveal some nips. While I have no problem with nudity in fashion, there isn’t any need to make it look like a back alley skank on the cover of a fashion magazine. My second problem lies within the models’ faces. Adriana and possibly Natasha look decent, but why does every one have the look of boredom or the fact that they’re holding back a massive poo? While nothing can be perfect, this certainly falls into that theory.
With that being said, if this is supposed to look like a bit trashy and campy, then I can come around and appreciate the covers for what they’re worth. There is an editorial poking fun of the infamous WAGs, or a footballer’s wife. It still weirds me out with the scratch-off covers any way you look at the matter.
I’ve actually kept these photos in my files for almost a month now. I don’t know why I’ve put them off. I really love this editorial. I’ve never really had any admiration for Jamie until these photos. She’s such an interesting and fairly androgynous beauty. She really does work well for the brands she represents like Givenchy and Lanvin. She’s pretty awesome, to be honest.
This editorial is named “Body Electric” and it is so fitting and I’m in adoration of the electric blue backdrop. My favorite photo is the one where she’s springing out of the grass. It’s so absolutely fantastic. With that being said, I like the ones where she contrasts the blue in paleness of white. She’s such a powerful subject to look at. Well Jamie, you have my attention now.

Then maybe they shouldn’t have styled you in that YSL strawberry top that Karlie wore on the Teen Vogue cover. Yeah, just saying. It’s so youthful, innately ugly, and your hair…How 70s of them to do to you. You still look gorgeous, no doubt, but something is off. I guess it’s a change than making you look like a screen siren from the golden days of Hollywood, so I can accept it. Oh, I just caught the “Berry Scarlett.” Oh, I see what they did there. I think my problem is I generally see V as being a bit edgier. The one of you wrapping your hands by your neck and your hair blowing in your face is absolutely stunning. You’re such a natural beauty, ScarJo. Now that I let this set in and marinate, I actually see the awesomeness of this set. Carry on, pretty lady, but can we choose a new top next time, stylists?

I’m really digging the southwest and Spanish feel about this shoot. Testino shot Daria flawlessly for V Magazine. The makeup and the tan ages her a bit, but she comes off so beautiful. I will stick to my theory that models make smoking sexy, because beautiful people smoking always make the cancerous habit seem so “cool.” I actually find women smoking cigars as something of a powerful image. I don’t know, maybe I’m crazy. I’m pretty sure the white dress is Lanvin and I’m also loving all of the gold serpent jewelry. Such class.
Hot damn! I’m glad I saw these. I couldn’t help but put these up. I love it. McQueen overload, but that black number, outrageously beautiful and fierce all in one. I want to put it on the fiercest of my friends and they love it and wear it to please me! Masha, you scored points. I look for a model with interesting eyes, no, not Tyra’s smiley eyes, but eyes that pierce and show other emotions. That and she’s just fantastic. NSFW BOOBIES in the slideshow, but hey, boobies are fun.
