Prada SS 2012

Okay, werque. Katryn is simply divine in this. Natasha, always stunning, but Katryn really steals the show.

Jil Sander SS 2012

Natasha Poly for Jil Sander

I’m in love with the Hitchcockian campaign for Jil Sander. The models looking through the broken glass and the shadowy staircase create the element of horror, which is polar opposite of the Spring presentation, yet the silhouettes emanate the feeling and a refreshing look at their inspiration.

“I want Lanvin, not diamonds!”

Lanvin x H&M.

Fantastical.

Vogue Paris November 2010: Natasha Poly

You know what, I really wanted to hate this. It has this over-the-top yet slightly serene feel to it. Natasha Poly is always stunning and rarely has a foul play in my book, even if she had to have that Givenchy hair captured again, this time on Vogue Paris‘s cover. So what if she appears to be the lovechild of Cher and Riccardo Tisci, the one they call “Indian Squaw”, etc.? I would have been loads happier if Sasha P finally landed her Vogue Paris cover she most certainly deserves over Poly’s 7th. At least Sasha is brilliant inside the pages, but more on her editorials later today.

Lanvin x H&M: First Look

Sweet Mother of Wintour! Alber packs a vicious punch for H&M. I’m so ecstatic that he is bringing those perfect silhouettes, that tuxedo jacket, and well, Natasha Poly. Loving it and need more.

Lanvin x H&M

This is old news, right? I’m sorry, I just can’t hold my excitement. I am really eager to see what Alber has created for H&M. I’m doubting the items will be available of any of my Indianapolis stores, but if they are, I’ll for sure be purchasing a piece immediately. While I may be male, I’m sure there is a piece that I can wear, right? Lanvin is always at the forefront of my excitement when the Paris catwalks begin, so I’m expecting great things. What just raised my level of anxiousness is the fact that Natasha Poly will be modeling the campaign. Seriously cannot wait.

Along with the release, Lanvin x H&M has created a blog competition to bloggers around the world to register their blogs to be voted for a chance to win the world exclusive trailer of the H&M fashion show. Naturally I placed myself in, but who knows if I’ll get any votes. If you want, go ahead and vote for me. I don’t believe the winning blog has even reached 700 at the time of posting this. VOTE HERE I guess.

Vogue Paris: Natasha Poly/Jamie Dornan (NSFW)

Terry Richardson shoots Natasha Poly in the September Issue of Vogue Paris as a sharply styled and divine drill instructor, commanding the beautiful Jamie Dornan in her perfectly structured Balmain and Celine. The shoot has a sexy and slightly romantic ending when Natasha submits to Jamie. Who wouldn’t, though? Many people complain about Richardson’s style, but I feel his shoots are refreshing to the same-old editorials we constantly see. So what if there’s unnecessary nudity? Who doesn’t like a boob or two?!

Natasha Poly: Numero September 2010

Sexy. Delicious.

These are a couple of the adjectives that come to mind for the Karl Lagerfeld shot cover of Natasha.

Vogue Nippon September: Natasha Poly

Seven issues of Vogue covers this year, Natasha is no force to be reckoned with. Inez & Vinoodh shot the supermodel for Vogue Nippon and the cover came out a big tacky, possibly Farrah Fawcett crossing over into drag, but equally awesome at the same time. Lagerfeld takes the reigns inside for the editorial and takes a more rock edge in the beach shoot. Poly looks stunning in that beaded, gold, undoubtedly, Balmain jacket. With a Burberry trench here and some Givenchy feathers there, what isn’t there to love? Oh, I know. Nothing. Flawless bitch right here.

Givenchy Haute Couture

Haute couture week has gone and passed and I’m still fawning over photos of the elaborately detailed gowns and jackets from Givenchy. Riccardo Tisci decided to just present a minute collection instead of a larger elaborate runway show. The detailed ornamentation is absolutely enormous and stunning. My personal favorite gown is the one that Natasha Poly models with Swarovski crystals that formed an apparent skeleton, which is just one of the inspirations for the line. The gown took somewhere around 1600 hours to create and it’s just beautiful to just stare at.

What was really interesting with this particular collection is the materials and way her created the textiles. For instance, he had eerily beautiful dégradé ostrich feathers with dark, chocolate brown. The fur was a bleached baboon fur, which is particularly odd. While Chantilly lace isn’t my favorite textile and can look a bit aged to my eyes, the patterns in it were duplicated on the leathers with a perfectly exquisite appearance.

Tisci created one of my favorite Resort and then Couture collections, so you could say I’m eagerly waiting Spring fashion in September.
