I’m going to say it: Fierce Bitches.
Inez & Vinoodh photograph the 6th Anniversary issue and it is absolutely magical. Each model is wearing Gucci F/W 11.12 and look stunning in the array of colors. Now this is a September issue.

I love how Desperately Seeking Susan this editorial is. Sasha embodies Madonna’s downtown chic layering in Dries Van Noten, Yves Saint Laurent, Burberry Prorsum and Marc Jacobs. She’s the girl you want to chill with. Simply put, this editorial is just cool and effortless. Put this girl on the cover already. It will be long overdue and well-deserved.

That Gucci dress may be on cover after cover, but there’s no denying Naomi.
True model. True icon.

Na-na-na diva is a female version of a hustla’…
Kate Moss, in Armani Privé, once again looks effortless and glamorous while being grabbed by from all angles. While not the most innovative cover for Emmanuelle Alt, you can’t dismiss Moss’s beauty. Also, I’ve included some previews to this issue, and we have Freja, Sasha, Karmen, and even Julia Stegner by Inez & Vinoodh. Dying for more.

Gisele is lovely and soft on the April cover of Vogue Paris, shot by Inez & Vinoodh. The white lace Dolce & Gabbana racks up another cover, and beautifully done. The cover is almost Vogue US-esque and looks like Testino shot it, yet I’m really liking the sweet simplicity of it all.

Finally, the editorial that goes to the covers. These shots with flowing gowns are so much better than the covers. I personally feel that Lanvin gown has to be billowing in the breeze to gain the full runway effect. You have to love that high fashion smile of Lara’s in; she’s absolutely working this in the obnoxious Marc Jacobs.
I don’t get the Tom Ford gown with the fringe. It was amazing for Tom to return to womenswear and he made quite the impact, don’t get me wrong, but does he have to be all private once again? You have to wonder if his Fall 2011 line ends up like Spring, will anyone still care about waiting for his creations?

Once again, Lara is on the cover of Vogue China, this time in a night and day double cover. I personally think the covers are stunning and clear, but the execution could have been better. I do not really understand the need for a pull-out cover when it’s just showing the surrounding desert. There really isn’t a need for this. Luckily, Lara looks absolutely pretty in YSL with a slightly horrible pose. I’m going to be honest here, I saw a smaller version of the covers and I thought Blake Lively at first, which is terrible, because I find Lara to be infinitely more beautiful and interesting than Blake, so I apologize to Lara for that. Anyway, I have a feeling the editorial will be great.

Following last season’s direction, the Balmain campaign follows the basic route but with Daria. If it isn’t Kate or Anja, it must be Daria. The three are the epitome. Kate wears Balmain flawlessly, and Anja and Daria are the living breath of what the Balmain girl is.
You know, forget that Decarnin’s designs are evolving at the rate of a snail, but I really love Balmain past its Pirate-chic. What I really love is that Balmain is the problem with the fashion industry. While the leather jackets and pants are constructed so precisely and exquisitely, the Paris house has the luxury of charging its customer $1500 and higher on cotton T-Shirts, albeit those with holes. The high-shouldered, gold and sequined gowns are also loaned out to so many magazine covers and editorials, it became a farce. You better believe sales are favorable, even if Pierre Balmain himself is rolling violently in his grave. It’s truly magnificent, but nothing new and enlightening to anyone. Put all of that aside and I really can’t wait to see what Christophe has in store for us in a month.

Not only are we happy at Karolina’s career insurgence this past season, but how wonderful it is to have an Andrej parade. Jean Paul Gaultier certainly has been using the androgynous wonder to his advantage. Andrej just walked for JPG’s menswear and haute couture shows, which the latter is stunning and magnificent in its own rights. Slightly humorous, but does Andrej appear softer than Karolina?

Everyone’s favorite newcomer, Arizona Muse, takes Daria’s place as the face for Spring’s YSL campaign. I’m expecting us all to see more of this young beauty in the very near future.
