Kim Jong Il Dead

20111219-011048.jpg

Kim Jong Il has finally died. The late North Korean dictator’s son, Kim Jong Un, will be his replacement. Get your Kelly green jumpsuits and some shades, everybody, because I’m sure the future of North Korea will be an interesting one. To be honest, I wouldn’t even doubt it in the slightest that a publication like Vogue Italia will be inspired by this.

Louis Vuitton S/S 2012

Here we have two lovely images to the Louis Vuitton S/S 2012 campaign. You know, I think the model choice is fairly decent, and supposedly we are to expect one more model in the campaign, but what really gets me is the setting of the ads. I’m glad they kept the styling exactly, but it loses its charm in that poorly decorated ice cream parlor. I get it. It’s sweet and girly, but I need a bit more effort and a little less obvious studio shots that took little imagination to create the set.

Any thoughts on who the remaining model could be?

Edit: Viewing this on my phone, I really like this. My judgement will be formed at a later date after the complete campaign.

Raf for Dior?

Raf Simons

Everyone from WWD to Grazia is reporting that Raf Simons is in talks with Dior. This seems odd. So many people have been reported to have been in talks with the company after Galliano got the boot. We’ve heard everyone from Ackermann, Tisci, to Elbaz, and of course, Marc Jacobs. This new pairing just doesn’t seem to fit. Don’t get me wrong, Raf’s designs are wonderful, but he’s first and foremost a menswear designer, and his work at Jil Sander doesn’t seem to mesh well with the Dior crowd, perhaps. Maybe we’re all used to John Galliano’s drama and excessive exuberance. I know Galliano’s designs have been said to be overdone and getting a little been there, done that, so why is it so hard to find a replacement?

Kate for Fred

Say goodbye to David Yurman. Another campaign another dollar, Kate rolls on with a new jewelry campaign. Stunner.

Playboy: Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan for Playboy

Here are the photos you’ve all been waiting for, but probably not been waiting for. I’ll give it to Lindsay and Playboy, they created some sexy photos modeled directly from Marilyn’s editorial the magazine first ran in 1953. The girl looks hot and bless her ample tits. Haters can move to the left and stay pressed.

Vogue UK: Florence Welch

Florence Welch

Looks a bit aged, no? Like, what did Testino do to Florence? The couture-wearing musical goddess did not ask for such misrepresentation. Blech.

Playboy: Lindsay Lohan

Here’s your first look look at Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy cover that’s everywhere on the internet today. Lindsay is looking good on the all red cover. Yes, I am sort of excited to see what’s inside, which is supposedly going to be revealed on Ellen. I’m sure there’s more to come.

Vogue Italia: Karlie Kloss

She really has quite the body, doesn’t she? Whoever is in charge of Karlie’s career deserves a pat on the back. There is this push to make her a supermodel, much like Gisele, and she’s getting so close. We all know Karlie has what it takes, but will she be the next household name? I’m thinking yes.

What makes me laugh about all of this is everyone being stunned by her new sexy image. Yeah, I still think she’s 15 and seeing Karlie’s areolas is just…well, you know, you feel like bathing and pouring rubbing alcohol on your eyes. Turns out all of those seasons as the face of Dior added up and she’s 19 now, so I think fembot Karlie is here to slay. Bitches better stay clear on the runway.

Behind the Scenes: Karlie for Vogue Italia

My baby is growing up. I’ve been weeping at how much Karlie Kloss has been slaying recently. Although her career has been huge since she debuted, now she’s becoming a household name thanks to Victoria’s Secret. Girl will be cashing those checks for years to come with that killer body of hers. 19 brought a whole new career for Karlie.
